It’s about time we form the SSNIT Contributors cum Pensioners Association.

This Association will then fight for Contributors and Pensioners to vote for the Board and Management of SSNIT. Qualified Actuaries could then apply for the position of CEOs. Their CVs will then be posted on our WhatsApp group and SSNIT website.

Members may be expected to vote via their phones for the competent CEO after examining the plans and CVs. Probably a 5 or 6 year contract may be given to him.

The idea is all registered members should be proactive in the affairs of SSNIT including monthly updates of what are monies are being used for. For example I know very well that if I knew monies were going to be used for this so called something something Towers, knowing how we operate, SSNIT should rather give the monies to the Banks for such a purpose. SSNIT should never be directly involved with such projects because of the lack of monitoring and the levels of corruption. I would then advise us all against such a move. Other professionals who are contributors would also have had their say thus blocking these bogus investments.
As it stands now, Management of SSNIT only play to the gallery of the appointment political class whence our woes.
Perhaps we may have to start a Whatsapp group to begin with.

SSNIT is a state institution and is funded by mandatory social security contributions from workers in Ghana. The headache of workers is housing. As much as possible solving this problem shd be the priority of GOG. The estate project of SSNIT shd focus on low cost housing for the low income people. GOG shd direct SSNIT to focus on that. It is not only immoral but incentive to use the poor man’s money to put up houses such people cannot afford.

I have over and over again asked “Who Owns SSNIT”. If as MAJOR shareholders we continue to sit on the fence while a few ‘mis- Management experts run the show. Elsewhere, the business is for shareholders and not the state. Wakeup Ghanaian worker. GTUC and organized Labour, it’s a shame and a scare on you as an office bearer.

SSNIT’s commercial buildings need a massive renovation. Actually an overhaul of their facilities. Buildings like the Ridge Tower, Heritage Tower, WTC and Premier Tower need an overhaul in their plumbing, electrical, genset, lift/elevators. It is only with these renovations that those Buildings can compete with the modern high rise buildings.

They appoint inept personnel to manage this huge investment. These guys don’t care about the contributors. If the employers don’t pay they use the law to throw them in jail. We should use the same law against the executives even if they are retired. If they invest the public funds wrongly they should be charged and thrown in jail.

SNNIT knows what they are doing, they have data on contribution employees make .
This should be a sure guide for them on the type of domestic housing projects they should embark on .
How can you use the publics money and the public you claim you are doing the project for can’t afford it ?
Due to corruption, they embark on such projects since its difficult to establish the real value of these projects.
